The Abraham Lincoln Bicentennial Commission (ALBC),
This organization leads the nation in commemorating the 200th birthday of Abraham Lincoln, emphasizing the contribution of his thoughts, ideals to America and the world, and serving as a catalyst for strengthening freedom, democracy and equal opportunity for all. The Commission was appointed by the President, the Senate and the House of Representatives following the passage of the Abraham Lincoln Bicentennial Commission Act in 2000 (Public Law No: 106-173). Indiana Abraham Lincoln Bicentennial Commission
Abraham Lincoln lived in Southern Indiana from age 7 through age 21. Indiana attractions include Lincoln's boyhood home, the restored home of Lincoln's first employer, Colonel William Jones, and numerous Lincoln-related collections at libraries, museums, and historical societies.
