The Filson Historical SocietyA member of one of Louisville’s most prominent families, Rogers Clark Ballard Thruston (1858-1946), compiled a photographic collection that showcased his interest in family, history and traveling, as well as his love of Louisville and Kentucky. His photographs spanned the years from 1882 to 1942.

Through the generous gift of his photograph collection, Rogers Clark Ballard Thruston showed his understanding of the importance of history and the need to make it accessible to everyone. We are pleased to offer four of  many extraordinary photographs for sale. Others may be offered at a later date - all in limited editions. The prints are approximately 16x20 inches, matted and ready for framing Cabin belonging to J. Barner in Bell Co., Ky, 1884. The Filson Historical Society for $125 each. Proceeds support our 20th century initiative.

The images found on these pages are of a lesser quality than the final product. The finished prints will be of a much higher photographic quality than can be demonstrated here.
